The Esc button is build in. I just fixed a few bugs in it. One was on internet explorer it did not apear on the screen until you mouse over it. The other bug was that the play button did not show up when the video was small on the home page.

I have corrected that and added some text to let you know alert you when the video is buffering. This happens if your internet is slow.

Hey guys,

I just added a Video player to the website. On the video tab you should now see a play video button. When you click it it will take you to a new page.

On my computer the video starts playing right away. Try it out and let me know how it works.

I also have a little box in the lower right hand corner of video. If you click the box, you should see the video in full screen. Video should not stop or pause when switching from regular view to full screen.

Try it out and let me know if you have any issues.

Nice experiment! And nice to see Sharkboy life. He really is a good guitar player.

For a basic jam session you just need
1 2 webcams with build in mic,
2.  internet connection and
3. standard MSN messenger or windows live messenger chat program  installed. Perhaps you can also do this using skype or so.
4. Do a video chat.
5. Let one person , for instance the guitar, take the lead. That one should not listen to sound coming from the follower (for instance the drums) and ...than you have your jam session.
6. It sounds OK at side of the follower (in this example the drum side).

To get it recorded and mixed and aligned and edited, etc. there are several ways for it.
Most simple way is using a videorecorder at followers side. Record screen and sound there.
Do some test befor going on.

We did more difficult:
- i, follower=drum, recorded audio with built in mics of my ZOOM H4.
- leader=guitar, recorded video with camtasia.
Sharboy, leader, did hook up his guitar and mic with an audiointerface so ... his sound was great.
Afterwards i did some audio and video editing to get both recordings aligned.

Using more recorders you perhaps may have to use time stretching to overcome some differences in recording and play back speed. I never had that problem using pc. Perhaps modern video and digital audio recorders are also OK but ... normal MP3 players surely are not exact and ...corrections of 0.99953 (0Creative Zen) to 0.97981 old Victory MP3 . Can be required to get both recordings begin and end at same time. That are corections of 0.14 sec to 6.1 sec per 5 minutes. 0.14 sec is one 16th plus 1 quater note and ... that surely is audible to trained and not trained listeners.

Gee, is that hard to do technically ?.   If it can be done with this site, maybe put the instructions in the Help section....But I guess the real time thing or latencey may get in the way..   Also next time, we want to see the "Sharkboy Face".  ha ha
