Final mix done! Yes, it sounds pretty darn good. Heavy rock with a tech edge, ala progressive, Dream Theater meets Depeche Mode...if I dare be so bold..lol.

Open Positions

Talent Skill Level Description
Vocal Intermediate We are still working with a semi-rough mix, and need someone for vocals. The song is a bit tricky, and explores a lot of musical area. We can still edit and make changes if needed.

let the instruments make it technical keep the tempos simple....
its funny when someone says to me.. this song is specifically 87 beats perminute.... why?... is this some formula for some magic recipe on songmaking ive never heard of before? LOL  yeah i like it when someone says 120

tempo I believe is simple 120bpm.

can feed some noise into the vocal track with certain processing tools to cause a reverbration effect without any hiss of anykind.. all the effects can be added afterwards,, how full on shall we go on the mixing?

RocknRollGuitarplayer

with sound reverbrations into microphones... its best to sing with headphones on..
that way everything is clear and perfect.. its never the microphone... you could use a shure sm58 and thats good enough.. but its the reverbrations of speaker noise that causes the clarity problems.. its definitly not the microphone... using headphones ... that will fix all the clarity problems

by curiosity.. whats the tempo?.. that way i can synch things into the timeline and get the session ready

i can link all this thru the protools and get an engineer onto it
i have plenty of people here to get it sweet.. hearing the demo..
im inclined to get a studio tech engineer friend onto it for a nice mix.. and get it sounding to the highest level possible.. its worth getting spot on yeah.. i agree good song

i can convert to wav or mp3 easy enough... its easily done.. infact i can run all the vocals thru effect processors and get them nice and clear if you like.. theres allways a way to get it all neat and tidy easy easy easy easy .. either way upload the best quality and can be turned into a sweet song

Hi again. I've done some homework. Two items: I've neatened up the No Humanity voc tracks to the best of my ability vis-a-vis clicks and pops. There are a couple of places where your fine tuning will make these absolutely delicious. One place in particular where the harmonies build to a nice crescendo (then sudden release - gee, I wonder what she could be alluding to) are swallowed up at the current levels. I think there's a bit of something precious there to be mined. I will send you a sendspace link with one big voc track. I hope .aif is okay. I haven't yet figured out how to convert to .wav. There are several of them. If, after you listen, you feel you need me to send them to you individually, I'll get on it. On a couple of the tracks where she says "say it," I used a bad mic in a live room for effect. I like the effect, but, alas, the consequence is noise. With so many lovely crunchy guitars going, perhaps neither matters. Let me know if I've wiped away the paint while cleaning the painting. Or, for any other task/assignment, I'll be standing by. That's "one."

The second bit of homework was for Ice. And I'll leave that info in your email. Cheers. CK

Just needs a little tidying. No major changes. Although I would like to experiment with the chorus. Thanks again for all the really nice compliments!
