I thought I'd challenge myself today. Anyway here's my input. I've established a couple of good melodies on top of the music, but could use some high Priest-like screams. Really, the music stands on its own.

The Lyrics are just pieces from here and there.

Being that the song is heavy, some screaming would work well over certain parts. I do not want it to sound like total death metal though. There is allot of cool stuff going on with the drums, bass, and guitar. I don't want to drown it out with just pure screaming.

I would like the tune to sound like it's own thing and not like every other band on myspace but for a frame of reference think "System of a Down", "Killswitch Engage" , "Mr. Bungle", and "old School Metallica". If you can get somewhere between there it would be cool.

Really be yourself and try to let your personality come out.

Okay, my voice cleared up and my computer is actually working so I am currently at this very moment writing some lyrics that seem to work with the rhythm and whatnot and will be hopefully setting up a vocal track in a few days time.

I would however like to know (It might have been said already but I missed it perhaps I dunno)

When you think of the vocals you are looking for is there perhaps a few bands that come to mind for you? That I might go and listen to kind of what 'metal' vocals you're looking for.

I'm still playing around with screaming to a degree so I will see what I might do with it
in this but I make no promises that portion will be good. =P

But yeah, just an update, I haven't skipped out or anything, simply had random things happen with the family and stuff that slowed me down. I'm back on it and intend to get something to you in the next couple days.

Hey, I got my sound card working again but my throat just decided to get eird and/or infected. x_x

So, it will be a a little while longer before I can pop out anything for you. (No, humming is hard for me, I blame my fathers gene pool)

But I have some ideas for the vocal melody that I will stick to it as soon as I can get my voice on track. =]

i undertstand what you mean about the violence, and ill get to work rewriting the song
you want it to be more about somone talkign about revenge but not being as violent and talking pain and suffering,

and yep, i didnt get a chance to listen to the existing tracks and mixes that have been uploaded, the laptop im using my sister stupidly erased the audio drivers for , so we just have a high pitch frequecy instead of sound now, anywho, i get back home on the9th so ill be sure to listen to them then

I don't want the song to be pro war or pro violence. It is more about exposing vengeance as the propagation of evil.

Vengeance is the driving force in an escalating cycle of violence. With that in mind it needs to build in intensity as it progresses.

Eventually the cycle burns itself out after almost everything is destroyed.

That is until the cycle starts again.

If you listen to the samples I put into the song, I have Harry Truman announcing the use of Nuclear Weapons against Japan. This is the end of a cycle. The next sample is Bush after 9/11, the beginning of a new cycle.

Also, really listen to the music and consider how the lyrics will work rhythmically.
