Wow looks like we got on here about the same time. I like solo 3. Thinking of maybe blending that screatchy part in solo 2 w/ 3. Thats too good to not use. If you want to email the wavs of it I`ll do the rest.....

Here is a quick drive by of what I was thinking. I recorded this with my American strat withf at gage 11 jazz strings (wound g) though my Mesa Boogie Mark III though the lead channel. I have a Mesa Boogie cabinet with two 12 inch black widows. I have two mics. On the top speaker I am using a Shure SM28. For the bottom I have an Audio Technica ATM 31. I use an old Tascam 488 as a mixer. From the mixer I go into my PC sound card.

I recorded everyting clean but added some delay for this mix. The solo is a mix of feedback and noise with some layed back melodic runs.

Let me know if this is what you are thinking.

I should have something by the weekend. To give you something on the "Tool" vibe", I am going to need to crank up my Mesa Boogie so I can get some proper feedback :-).
